  • Hobie Wood - Pastor

    Hobie is married to the lovely Hannah, and they have two sons – Levi and Lat (short for Latimer).  He is a native of Tiger, Ga. (Rabun County), a graduate of Clemson University and Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.  Prior to seminary and being called to be the pastor at Christ Presbyterian, Hobie and Hannah were on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.  He’s a rabid Clemson fan and a (very) novice fly-fisherman.

  • Dr. steve Woodworth - director of discipleship

    A native of New England, Steve Woodworth is and an ordained Teaching Elder and missionary in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). Husband to Carrie and father to Luke, Andrew and Zachary. Steve is a graduate of Montreat College (B.S.), Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (Mdiv., DMin.), and is currently pursuing a PhD. at London School of Theology. As a missionary, Steve leads the EPC’s efforts to assist national leaders in their development of biblical training centers among unreached people groups. When he isn’t overseas, Steve helps to foster discipleship at CPC through preaching, teaching, small groups and adult Sunday School programs. The Woodworths get outside as much as possible and enjoy biking, hiking, paddle-boarding, gardening, and camping.

  • avery dodd - Director of youth and outreach

    A native of Habersham County, Avery is married to Lauren and they have a boy and a girl (Holcomb and Isla). He is a graduate of Toccoa Falls College (B.S) and a soon to be graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary (M.A.B.S). Avery spent the past three years serving at a church in Lakeland, FL. For three years prior to Florida, he served at various churches in Georgia. Avery loves the Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Braves and all things outdoors.

  • April akridge - children's coordinator

    April was born and raised in Duluth, Georgia. Her family moved to Clarkesville soon after she graduated high school. She is a graduate of Piedmont College where she studied elementary education. She and her husband Chris have four sons, Eli, Ty, Jack and Clay. After spending seven years as a third grade teacher, she left the classroom to spend time at home raising her sons. She has spent the last five years teaching preschool. She enjoys hiking, cheering on the Habersham Central Raiders, and being with her family.

  • Seth Hulsey - pastoral Intern

    Seth and his lovely wife Jalen, a Professional School Counselor, are both Habersham county natives. Prior to married life, Seth completed a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with a minor in Psychology from Young Harris College. After college, he moved to Athens, Georgia where he ministered to college students at the University of Georgia, and soon followed the call to seminary. He now attends Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. Seth enjoys living an active lifestyle and relating with people of all walks of life.

  • Ashley patterson - worship coordinator

    Ashley currently serves as worship coordinator at CPC. She is also married to Brian, and they have three beautiful daughters, Emerald, Mattie and Ida. Brian and Ashley moved to Clarkesville in 2007 from the west Georgia area. She started taking piano lessons at the age of seven. Being forced daily to practice, she absolutely hated the piano. At ten years old, Ashley remembers her father calling her up to the stage for him to sing at church. Although she had no idea what to play, she loved playing for him to sing. She hasn't stopped playing since! Currently, she homeschools the girls and helps Brian with his business.

  • Abigail Purcell - Administrative Assitant/ Bookkeeper

    Abigail Purcell was born and raised in Habersham County; however, she graduated from Westminster Christian School in Gainesville, GA. She attended both University of North Georgia and Liberty University. After several years of teaching, she worked as office manager at a local pest control company. Not only is Abigail an avid reader, she is also a math tutor for high school students.
